Dec. 2010

Britton was sick and couldn't go out and play in the snow so we brought the
snow into her. She didn't quite know what to think.
Enjoying some Christmas books with Dad. Love that all of my
kids LOVE books!

Feel so bad that Sawyer gets so tired. He'll fall asleep
almost anywhere. At least he was warm here.

Chemo Visit -- December 20, 2010

Sawyer did not want to head to the clinic on Monday, Dec. 20. When
I told him he could play his DSi on the way up, he decided to join me.
The tape covering his port really hurt this time.

Sawyer's not a happy camper--he thought he was just going
to go Christmas shopping at the clinic (see the bags). He did
not want to get chemo.

Sawyer fell asleep on the way home. Thank goodness as
he really needed to use the restroom and there was no
way I was pulling off the freeway--as it it took us 2 hours to get home!

Christmas Service -- Sunday, December 19, 2010

The Johnston 5 ready to head to church for the Christmas program. Britton's mad because
I tried to put a bow in her hair. (Makenna sang in the choir--so proud of her. I was the pianist for the choir-my 6th year.)
Sure love our sweet Sawyer.

Hard to believe our Ms. Britton is 15 months old.

Macy's Santa -- December 13, 2010

When we arrived at Macy's, Sawyer was given this special elf hat.
Then we headed to wait for the Santa bus. Sawyer's holding the cool confetti stick he
was given to shake when Santa arrived. The elves wanted to make sure there
would be snow for Santa.

An amazing band from Baltimore performed while we waited for Santa.

The Santa bus!

Seeing Santa get of the Santa Bus. (Notice the confetti snow--looks pretty real.)
Storytime with Santa

One of the two really cool balloons Sawyer was given.

Clinic Visit -- Dec. 6, 2010

It was so cold the day we headed to the clinic, that Britton insisted on keeping her hat and coat on for the visit.
Sawyer glued to the TV.

Coloring fun

Even though Sawyer was not getting chemo today the doctor allowed
him to head to the infusion area. Sawyer calls it the play area but I think
he really should call it the TV area. That's all he's excited about.

Bake Sale -- Dec. 2, 2010

Wearing his Histio Awareness shirt Sawyer's ready to head to work with Terry for the
Histiocytosis Fundraising Bake Sale. Terry's decked out in his histio sweatshirt as well.
Thanks to all the generous donations, they were able to fill 5 tables.

Sawyer's checking out the goodies.

Sawyer had fun in the big trucks.

Bake Sale -- Dec. 2, 2010

Checking out the truck.
Sawyer had fun meeting some search & rescue dogs.

This is how I found Sawyer one afternoon--poor kid
gets so tired he'll just fall asleep anywhere.
