Pictures from our free evening of fun--June 22, 2009

As many of you know...I'm the queen of free and love a good deal. Well, tonight we were able to have an evening of fun all for free! We started out the evening with free dinner at Qdobas. (The kids and I were able to get coupons for free meals at an outdoor concert we attended last Tuesday.) From there we headed to a new grocery store (Wegmans) that just opened up yesterday--we were able to get some free samples. Then we headed to the bowling alley where the kids bowled for free. (They earned these coupons last year during our library's summer reading program.) Then we were off to Friendly's for some free ice cream--compliments of more coupons--coupons we picked up at the grand opening of a restaurant several months ago. Then we topped off the evening with a free movie from the Redbox Rental compliments of a code I got off of one of my favorite money saving blogs. (All in all, we saved over $50! Woo, hoo!!)
Gotta love Sawyer's bowling shoes. Even though they were a size too large, Sawyer
insisted on wearing them. He wanted to be like the big kids. This was Sawyer's first
time to bowl all by himself and he did a great job.

Watching to see if Sawyer's ball will hit the remaining pins.

Sawyer and his magic hands.

So proud of himself.

More pictures from our free evening -- June 22, 2009

Don't know why Bridger had to make a goofy face for this picture and then
dear Sawyer had no desire to have his picture taken.

Enjoying our yummy, free ice cream cones.

Oops, sorry I forgot to turn this picture around. Anyway, Sawyer was
exhausted after our free evening of fun. He fell asleep on the way home--notice
the chocolate from the ice cream cone still on his face.

The three Johnston boys at their well-child visit on June 16th--this was
Sawyer's first well-child visit in two years. (Makenna lucked out
and didn't have a blue gown picture taken.)

and didn't have to get any.

Having fun at Bridger and Hunter's first summer swim meet--June 17, 2009. It rained
on us a few times.

First Summer Swim Meet -- June 17, 2009

The boys were thrilled to see Terry--he met us at the meet. He had just
arrived home from his long trip.
Sawyer's very first "person" drawing. He was so excited! He drew
this after the swim meet.

Hunter finally received his T-ball trophy. He was thrilled!

Friday, June 19th we headed up to Maryland and visited Fort Washington and
a colonial farm. (Right before the fort we stopped at Barnes & Noble so the
kids could pick up the free summer reading books they earned. This was Hunter's first time
to participate and he was thrilled. He's already finished the free chapter book he picked out. He's quite the reading maniac and hasn't even started
kindergarten. )

Getting a "ride" from Makenna at the colonial farm in Maryland.

Sawyer's picture of Dad and Mom--notice Mom's hair--
pretty good drawing for a new 3 year old.

Clinic Visit -- June 18, 2009

This was Sawyer's first time to have his temp. taken under his tongue.
I didn't think he'd do it, but he did!

Sawyer LOVES the train table at the clinic.

Waiting and waiting and more waiting!

Sawyer's Port Removal Surgery-- June 8, 2009

Mr. Sawyer's wide awake at 5:45 a.m.--reading a magazine in the
surgical waiting area.
Thankfully, they had a children's waiting area.

Sawyer is one unhappy camper-he did not want his
gown on. He refused to look at Terry for this picture. Sad thing...
as I was holding him on my lap, a single tear ran down his face.

All smiles in the pediatric surgical waiting room.

Hanging out in the surgical waiting room.
Sawyer enjoyed playing with all the toys.

Look at all the trucks!

Port free! Just waking up--"Home" was the magic word.

Sawyer was not a happy camper and he did not want his
picture taken. He looked away from me everytime.

Heading out.

Playing in the bean bags at Bridger's 2nd grade awards' ceremony--June 9, 2009.

Hunter was so excited to see one of his T-ball friends at the awards' assembly.
He was quick to show this friend the clock and money books he's been
working on. Hunter is a homework maniac!

MRI -- June 5, 2009

Having fun in the waiting room.

Sawyer liked this light.

MRI is over...we're now waiting for our copies of the MRI for our
records and Dr. Arceci's.
