Treatment #18 -- March 31, 2008

Waiting for the nurse--Sawyer insisted on wearing Hunter's Batman shirt today. It was a little big so we had to roll up the sleeves.
Playing while doing more waiting.
Snack time.
Resting on Mommy's lap after port was accessed. After I took this picture, Sawyer wanted to see it. He kept saying, "Ouch, hurt."
Giving the lion a little drink.

Treatment #18 -- March 31, 2008

Getting chemo #18--Thankfully, Sawyer didn't scream this time when the chemo was being administered--he just watched curiously.
Sawyer wearing his cute whale raincoat ready to leave. We had rainy weather all day.

Spring Break -- March 21- 30, 2008

JUST A FEW HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR SPRING BREAK!
The kids loved feeding the giraffes at the Richmond Zoo. Sawyer especially got into this.

The Johnston 4 taking a break at the zoo.
Look, we found a goose egg at Huntley Meadows.
We really enjoyed Great Falls National Park.

March 30, 2008 -- Healthy Kids!

Yippee! Everyone's healthy so we can head to church as a family!

The kids wanted to share these easy and cute bunny rolls we made today! You're looking at the bunny from the backside--you see his ears and little tail.

March 22, 2008

Last night Sawyer was hopping around and fell and hit a bench. Notice the large bump on his forehead--poor kid...as if he hasn't been through enough this week.

We had a wonderful day full of many Easter activities. The kids were up early anxious to see what the Easter Bunny brought. Sawyer was thrilled with his ABC talking puzzle.
For breakfast we made yummy Resurrection rolls--a fun way to review the Resurrection. (If you want the recipe, just send us an email: terryandkori@earthlink.net.)
After breakfast, we colored eggs. Sawyer loved this and kept asking for more eggs.

Tonight we made Resurrection cookies. The kids can't wait to open the oven door tomorrow morning. As you can see Sawyer really loved the meringue. After the cookies were in the oven, the kids went on a flashlight Easter egg hunt. Sawyer was sad when all the eggs were found.

Happy Easter! 21 March, 2008

Today after the doctor we had to run Makenna to a birthday party. Then we quickly stopped by Walmart to pick up some special sand for Makenna's school project. Well, the Easter Bunny happened to be there. The boys were thrilled to have their pictures taken with him.

Sick Sawyer -- March 20, 2008

This picture was actually taken last Sunday, March 16th--right before Sawyer started getting sick. The kids and I were trying to play a game of Clue. We were having a tough time keeping Sawyer away from our game. He finally got sick of us pushing him away. He left and after a few minutes I had Bridger go check on him. It was a little too quiet. Well, Mr. Sawyer had been having a great time with the Vaseline! Thankfully, he did a good job of keeping it on himself and not getting much of it elsewhere.
Our sick Sawyer--Sawyer found this hat while we were waiting for his prescription today. It was on clearance and I couldn't resist. Well, he's kept it on the rest of the day.
Finally, some rest...but it didn't last long!

Treatment #17 -- March 8, 2008

Looking cool on our drive up to the clinic.
Having fun painting.
What happens if I paint my hand?
At least this is helping to pass the time.

Treatment #17 -- March 8, 2008

Taking a snack break.
Being examined by my new doctor-Dr. Lawlor.
I have started a new comfort thing--rubbing my old port incision. Mommy thinks that's kind of gross--she's not too keen on scars and how they feel.
"Lay lay." That's what I say when I wanted to lie down and go to sleep. Soon after the nurse accessed my port I started saying this to Mommy. Mommy's holding me in her arms in this picture and I'm hoping to go to sleep.

March 8, 2008 Sawyer's 22 months old!

My 22 month old bear picture. I'm holding Bridger's camera and saying, "Cheese."
On Saturday, March 8 we headed to DC. Our first stop was the National Geographic Museum where we saw the live frog exhibit. It was really cool. (Unfortunately, Daddy didn't get to see any of the frogs. When we first arrived at the museum, we drove around for 30 minutes looking for parking. Finally, Daddy dropped us off and continued to look for parking while we enjoyed the museum. Daddy never found any parking. Bummer.) Bridger sure loves his camera. He was more interested in it than looking at Mommy for this picture. Bridger took a lot of his own pictures.
Everyone's tired of Mom and her picture taking. Here we are at the art museum.
Playing hide-and-seek with Mom. I just found Mom. Can you tell by the expression on my face?
I love hot cocoa!
