November 2008

Sawyer showing off his new blanket and car.

Sawyer's bear photo-2 1/2 years old. November 8, 2008

Sawyer wanted to make different facial expressions for each photo-we took several shots. In this one he's showing "sad." Notice the nice navy blue bedskirt in the background. Well, last week Sawyer found a bottle of Clorox cleaner that one of the kids left upstairs after our weekly cleaning day. Sawyer had a hey day spraying his and Hunter's bedskirts. Needless to say, the bedskirts are no longer navy blue.

Creative Hunter showing off the robot costume he put together.

Chemo Treatment # 29 --November 17, 2008

Sawyer's so good about having his vitals taken. He knows the routine. Well, he should after doing it for 15+ months.
Sawyer usually wants the blood pressure cuff on his arm--not this time!

Sawyer and Ms. Julie--Sawyer's more interested in the TV.

Sticker time during wait time!

Chemo Treatment # 29 --Continued

Julie showing Sawyer the Santa Claus she drew. Julie was so good at keeping Saywer entertained.
Sawyer was so excited to paint. Unfortunately, he wasn't too excited about wearing a mask. This was the 3rd chemo visit in row he's had to wear a mask. That darn cough.

Receiving treatment # 29--thank goodness for TV's.

Usually I hold up Sawyer's shirt when the nurse is deaccessing him. Sawyer wanted to do it all by himself this time. All of the nurses are amazed at how patient Sawyer is when they are removing his bandage. He's never cried once.

October 2008

Sawyer dancing to "Shake Dem Halloween Bones" at Bridger's Halloween class party.

The Johnston Four showing off their pumpkins! Thanks, Michelle!

Hunter sure was thrilled to get his gold medal after finishing his soccer camp.

Waiting patiently for their names to be called. Sawyer thought for sure that he was going to be a gold medal.

Halloween & Disney on Ice

The boys getting ready to head out trick-or-treating. Makenna was sick with a fever and was disappointed she couldn't join them.
Sawyer was eager to try some of his candy.

We surprised the kids and took them to Disney on Ice--November 12, 2008.

Makenna and Bridger enjoyed sharing their $7 popcorn!! Ouch!

Sawyer sure enjoyed making pyramids out of toothpicks and gumdrops.
The Johnston gang getting ready for Makenna's Egyptian birthday party. We were honored to have the Pharaoh attend.

Sawyer sure loves his dad!

Sawyer fell asleep one night with gloves on his hands.
