Treatment #12 (Chemo #6 of 2nd Six Weeks--Nov. 26)

I was able to decorate a stocking while waiting to be seen.
Waiting in Room #1--This seems to be our room--we've been in it the most.
There was a TV in our room this time. It kept me occupied for about 2 minutes. I'm not really a TV fan. I had more fun pulling out all the videos from the shelf and putting them back on the cart.
Helping Nurse Kelly flush my port.
One of my favorite things to do is to help Mommy unload the dishwasher. I even like it so much that sometimes I try to unload dirty dishes. Yuck!

Thanksgiving 2007

I sure love Megan's CD player. Here I am jamming out to more songs.
Makenna ready to head to church the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Of course, I wanted to get in the picture.
Guess I didn't eat too much of the leftover birthday cake. It sure was fun to play with, though.
Mommy had to trim Papa's hair. I wanted to sit right next to him.
At church with all of our cousins that came for Makenna's baptism.

Thanksgiving 2007

My cousin Megan had a portable CD player and I thought it was the coolest thing. I loved jamming out to some tunes.
My family getting ready to head to Mount Vernon for our Thanksgiving dinner.
Spending some time with Daddy after our meal.
After we ate, we headed to see the movie Makenna and Daddy are in --"We Fight to be Free." Then we walked around the grounds. I was tired by that time. Papa found the perfect place for me to snooze.
Makenna, Bridger and 5 of our cousins practicing a song they were going to sing at Makenna's baptism. Of course, I thought the music was great and had to be right there checking things out.

Treatment #10 (Chemo #4 of 2nd Six Weeks-Nov. 12)

Getting ready to leave our house-This picture was taken just after Mommy put the numbing cream on. She should have used a smaller piece of "Press n' Seal" to cover it, though, because I ripped it off soon after we got in the car. Mommy had to run back in the house and get some more.

Here's where I go each week to get my chemo. The clinic is on the 2nd floor.
Playing with my monkeys while waiting to head to the back room.
Hunter enjoyed some coloring time with me.
Hunter's favorite thing to do, though, was to watch TV. I'd run over a couple of times to see what was going on, but I'm really not a big fan of TV.

Treatment #10 cont.

Snack time--The child life specialist passed out bags of chips to everyone. I took one but only ate a few. As you can see I'm deep in thought.
Watching a bit of Hunter's movie.
Helping the nurse...lately, this seems to be my favorite thing.
More pushing...
About a minute after we got in the car, I was out! I was one tired boy!

November 11, 2007

Makenna and Bridger are in a Stage Door Kids on Stage play-"The Stinky Cheese Man." This past Friday was the opening night at Massaponax High School. This picture was taken last night. Bridger is a little frog in the play and even sings a duet. Makenna is Rapunzel in the Fairy Chorus. The play is awesome--so well done!
Today was Sawyer's first day at church in 3 months! Makenna and Bridger were in a children's program and Terry didn't want to miss it. (Makenna and Bridger both had speaking parts and then Makenna was singing a duet with one of her friends.) Terry and Sawyer only stayed for the program and then headed home. Sawyer was SO excited to get dressed this morning. He loved his church clothes and he looked SO cute! I'll have to tell you he was SO excited to be at church--too excited that he was hard to control--he wanted to go everywhere and explore everything--but isn't that typical of most 18 month olds? (I know he doesn't look too excited in this picture but the great pictures were all blurry--bummer!)
The Johnston Four ready for church--Sawyer's squating because he did take a kneeling down picture with Makenna just before this. When it was time to stand up, he decided to stay down. Silly kid.
Cute kids!

Happy 18 Months, Sawyer! Nov. 8, 2007

On Tuesday Mommy couldn't find me. After looking a few minutes, she found me in my bedroom "reading" books.
I sure love my nature book.
Mommy came back a few minutes later and I was on the floor looking at more books!
Today I'm 18 months old! (Nov. 8, 2007) Each month Mommy makes me sit and take a picture with this bear! So, here's one of my 18 month old bear pictures. (This bear is as old as Makenna--Mommy started the bear picture taking tradition when Makenna was born.)
Makenna and Bridger didn't want to be left out. They wanted their pictures taken as well before they headed to school. Of course, I wanted in their picture.

Treatment # 9 (Chemo #3 of 2nd Six Weeks--Nov. 5)

How tall am I? (Yes, the nurse is trying to hold me back for this picture. Mommy wasn't quick enough with the camera when I was first being measured so she wanted me to do it again.)
I sure love these big windows.
Looking at one of my favorite animal books while waiting for the doctor.
Oh, I'm sure you're wondering about the scratches on my face. They both are compliments of my two older brothers. The smaller one (on my cheek) was on purpose and the rug burn on my forehead was an accident. I sure look scary, though. Too bad the injuries didn't happen around Halloween so Mommy could have included them in my costume. Mommy's just thankful my platelet count is high.
Hmm...what's under my shirt. Getting ready to "feed" my pirate again.

Chemo Treatment #9 cont.

Taking a snack break while waiting for the doctor.

Helping nurse Kelly...
Reading my favorite books with Daddy--this picture was actually taken last week.
