Chemo # 3 --August 25, 2010

Sawyer wasn't feeling that great when we first arrived at the clinic.
A Capri Sun might do the trick.

Miss Britton needed a snack as well.

Sawyer (feeling much better) & Britton wait for Dr. L.

Of course, Sawyer can't turn his back on a TV.

Chemo # 2 -- August 18, 2010

Mr. Snack Man -- Sawyer ate and ate during our clinic visit. His cheeks are starting
to get fatter.
Britton ate a few snacks herself.

Chemo #2 -- August 18, 2010

"Please give me some of your Capri Sun."
"What's this?!" Sawyer doesn't remember tubie!

Britton was excited to see the excercise saucer.

Thanks to whomever sent Sawyer's surprise package! It came the
evening of his chemo day and he couldn't have been more thrilled! Wish
we would have had the video camera going as he opened the package.
He was too cute and all smiles!

3rd Port Surgery --August 9, 2010

Miss Britton was 11 months old on Sawyer's surgery day. Hard to believe
she'll be one next month. She started taking her first steps a month ago and
took off walking almost 2 weeks ago. There's no stopping her now. Here she
is on the 9th for her bear picture.
Heading to Fairfax for surgery. Two things motivated Sawyer--a movie in the car and a popsicle
after surgery.

Twins! (Notice the shirts.)

A very unhappy boy! He did not want to wear yellow pajamas!

He did like the socks, though. They were very scratchy.

3rd Port Surgery -- August 9, 2010

A mad Sawyer--he just wanted to head to the playroom.
Thank goodness Terry had his Ipod with him--this helped Sawyer pass the time.

Sawyer thought Terry's outfit was funny. At least we got him to smile.

Yea! A popsicle!! This was soon after Sawyer woke up.

Waiting for his x-ray.

3rd Port Surgery --August 9, 2010

Nurse Connor -- The best nurse ever. Sawyer was thrilled when Connor gave him this
Playmobil police set.
A happy boy settled in his hospital room.

Sawyer wanted Dad to sit with him for a bit.

Sawyer was excited to finally get some food. Unfortunately, he only
took a couple of bites of the hot dog. He must be like his mother--I can't
stand hospital food.

Look at our lovely bench--no cushion and very uncomfortable. We asked for a
couple of chairs but were only brought one hard wooden chair. I think we would
have pressed further if we had known we were going to be spending all day and most of the night there.

3rd Port Surgery -- August 9, 2010

Showing off his new police guy.
The new port accessed. (Sawyer told me later that the "pick" inside--the needle--really hurt.)

Having fun playing Wii at 9:30 p.m.

Finally heading home!

Enjoying his Krispy Kreme donuts Tuesday a.m.
Thanks again, Sarah!
