End of Year Fun!

On Saturday (Dec. 29) we headed to George Washington's birthplace. They were having a special Christmas celebration there. (George Washington Birthplace depicted a colonial Christmas with the Memorial House decorated for the holidays, candlelit and filled with colonial music. Throughout the day, the plantation was busy with festivities and chores performed by the Birthplace volunteers.) We loved the free ginger cookies and hot apple cider. Here we are standing in front of the Memorial House.
I loved being free to run! You can see Hunter in the trees.
I loved all the animals. We saw sheep, pigs, bulls, chickens and geese.
I love going to church! I'm always excited to put on my church clothes. Here we are getting ready to head to church this past Sunday, Dec. 30.
Today (Jan. 1, 2008) we headed down to Washington, DC to enjoy some of the museums. We were excited to walk right into the National Archives--usually whenever we pass by, there has been a very LONG line. We were even able to go to the top of the Washington Monument. Mom and Dad have been before but this was our (the Johnston 4) first time.
