Telling Mommy there's juice (blood)in here--see what I'm pointing to with my right finger.
This is a site to keep friends and family updated with pictures of Sawyer and his family.
Telling Mommy there's juice (blood)in here--see what I'm pointing to with my right finger.
Mommy loves that I have older siblings who love to read to me. I brought this book to Bridger and he gladly read to me.
Three of the Johnston boys posing for a haircutting picture. (Saturday, January 26, 2008)
Captain Sawyer...arrr! Grandma sent me a pirate package and of course, I had to try everything on. (Hopefully, in the very near future Mommy's going to be painting my future pirate bedroom.)
Picture taken yesterday-January 20! Definitely is looking better! The new port site is healing so well.
You can see how my new port kind of sticks out. This really bothers me. I pick at it all the time and try to pull at it--hoping that it will come out. I've asked Mommy to take it out several times.
One of the things Mommy "let go" when I was diagnosed was her scrapbooking. She was usually on top of this and was never more than 2-3 weeks behind. Well, now she's been months behind and that's a lot when she has 4+ scrapbooks to keep up on. Finally, this weekend she was able to devote several hours to working on scrapbooks and she's caught up on everything except for the new scrapbook she's started about my LCH journey. While she was working on scrapbooks last night, Hunter and I had a grand old time looking through our books. Hunter kept saying he wanted to jump in the book. I think he looked through his book at least 4 times!

My teeth sure come in handy.
Almost 2 weeks ago Mommy read us a book called, "The Apple Doll." In the back of the book it showed us how to make our own apple dolls. We were so excited to do this. It's been so hard waiting for our apple heads to be dry enough to make the dolls. Tonight was the night we got to create. Don't you think they turned out pretty cute?! Too bad it's hard to see the details of their faces.
Hunter said his is a rock star dad holding a banjo.
Having my vitals taken. The nurse was surprised at how good I was.
The anesthesiologist whisking me away for surgery. She first asked if I would hold her hand and walk down the hall with her. I actually did. Mommy couldn't get her camera out quick enough to take a picture. Didn't last long, though, and soon the anesthesiologist picked me up. I was fine until we entered THE room! That's when I knew what was going on and wanted my mom. Thankfully, Mommy was right behind us and she took me.
January 9, 2008--you can see where the two sites are--the new one is the one I'm touching.

My new little kitty from the clinic.
I need a hug! Hugging my new kitty.
Sorry this picture is a little gross but Mommy wanted to show you how odd my port site looks. My scar should really just be a straight line.
Can you see the hole in the middle of my port site? The gray you see is the actual port. You shouldn't be able to see this. You can also see a bit of the port trying to push through on the bottom right side. Gross!
I loved being free to run! You can see Hunter in the trees.
I loved all the animals. We saw sheep, pigs, bulls, chickens and geese.
I love going to church! I'm always excited to put on my church clothes. Here we are getting ready to head to church this past Sunday, Dec. 30.
Today (Jan. 1, 2008) we headed down to Washington, DC to enjoy some of the museums. We were excited to walk right into the National Archives--usually whenever we pass by, there has been a very LONG line. We were even able to go to the top of the Washington Monument. Mom and Dad have been before but this was our (the Johnston 4) first time.
