Thursday a.m. I twisted the top of my right foot going down the stairs to our garage. For a moment I thought it was broken because I heard an audible pop-that'd be my luck. I was able to pick up Hunter from preschool and pick up Makenna and Bridger as well. But, as soon we got home from the elementary school my foot was killing me. I couldn't put any pressure or weight on it. I ended up staying on the couch the rest of the afternoon/evening. Well, my kids were too cute! While Terry and Bridger were at swim team practice, Makenna, Hunter (& Sawyer) decided to take care of me. They quickly ran to the basement and threw on some doctor outfits and got busy. They did an excellent job and I sure enjoyed being doted on. (Hmmm...maybe I need to get hurt or sick more often.)
Nurse Hunter, Dr. Johnston (a.k.a. Makenna), Smiley Sawyer
Hunter even read to me from one of his Magic Tree House books. Makenna made sure there was a visitor's chair right near the couch. She had Terry sit there when he first came home from work.
Of course, Sawyer needed a turn. He "read" me a couple of books as well.
Makenna had everything--the identification badge, her signature card, notes about my care, etc. She even brought me water and medicine on a tray. She also recorded my pain level. Too cute!
